Designing with Architectural Principles + Materiality + Context + User: Tropical Wildlife Discovery Unit

TASK

This task incorporated everything we had learnt in the previous two assignments. We were provided a real-world location, Bukit Jalil Recreational Park. Following the site investigation, we must use the data to create a discovery unit in connection to the natural landscape. The goal was to leverage our design objectives, materiality, structure, and context to create a place that provided a positive user experience.

Reflection

This is the last project of  the last semester in year 1. This project is one of the project that taught me the most, including the design process, materiality, the planning and function of each spaces, and more. Of course, there is a lot that I could improve after the by the critting session from the guest. For example, my drawing technique, board placement, thinking process, etc... However, this is the toughest project by far, where all nightery is a must.
